I will master one of your songs for free
using my Electronic Demo (Edemo) service. I master the
entire song, not a clip. There will be a
section of the song that is NOT mastered so you can hear the
difference mastering makes. This is a great way to "test drive" my mastering service and see if it's right for you.
The Edemo also functions as a way for me to determine if *I*
feel comfortable working with your style/genre of music and the
direction you want me to take it (how you want the final result
to sound).
I will also provide tips on what you can do to improve your mix,
if necessary.
Be sure to look at my
Mastering Rates page before contacting me, so neither of us
wastes our time.
It is important that you tell me what you consider problems
in/with your mix, because sometimes styles or effects you want or
like can be perceived as problems. It is also important for
you to tell me what you like about your mix and want to maintain or
enhance.
The free Edemo is done over the internet. I use a secure
internet based file transfer site, not a complicated or
confusing FTP site. You can send me large files safely and
securely. You should get three (3) emails back from me. The first
email gives details about the Edemo, and the other two emails
contain links to my file transfer site. If you do not get 3
emails from me, please check your email filter settings!
PLEASE DO NOT SEND A SONG AS AN ATTACHMENT TO AN EMAIL!!!
For a taste of what mastering can do for your project, I've
posted some "before and after" clips from some of my clients.
The first part of the clip is the original mix, and the second
part is the mastered version. They are MP3s, but you
should still be able to hear a difference. Please be aware that
the "before" samples are unaltered in any way.
